The blue mountain achievement:

It certainly was not an easy achievement to get to the summit and even to reach the base of the mountain was an ordeal through 3 hours of winding roads. We started at 3 A.M. and reached at sunrise, after nearly getting stuck on one steep ascent of the road 5 miles away from the mountain. We took three attempts to make it over a sandy slope full of potholes. The guide was too confident that our borrowed truck would make it.

Everyone really struggled to take the continuous 6 mile climb of 7.500 feet or 2.200 meters above sea-level. It is the highest mountain in Jamaica.

Lucky that our base was a beautiful guest house, where we could nicely recover afterwards with hot showers and other facilities after another ride for 3 hours. It took us about 4 hours to reach the summit and 3 1/2 hours to get back. We had two major stops of about one hour each.
